Charissa Tansomboon
Charissa graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Human Biology/M.A. in Psychology, and UC Berkeley with a Ph.D. in Education, where her dissertation focused on student learning and motivation. Charissa’s passion around learning and education comes from her early years as a competitive figure skater, representing Thailand at the World Championship level and also working as a figure skating coach. Nowadays, she applies her research expertise as a User Experience Researcher at Facebook specializing in youth audiences. Charissa’s experience and background in education fuel her to help students harness their individual strengths to achieve their ultimate goals.

Jack Salisbury
Jack graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Sports is one of Jack’s greatest passions and he was fortunate to have the opportunity to work as the Sports Editor of the Stanford Daily newspaper during his time at the school. After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked for several years in the college consulting industry as an admissions consultant. His students have gotten into schools such as Stanford, Cornell and the University of Michigan. Jack later attended UCLA Law School on a merit scholarship and practiced law as a family attorney. Despite his background as an attorney, Jack missed his time working as an admissions consultant and decided to join Palo Alto Admissions as one of their lead consultants. Jack is excited to be able to help others achieve their educational dreams and draws on his own experiences as a successful applicant in order for his students to prepare the best application possible.
